MicroTheater comes to Los Angeles

*This is a Sponsored Post*
MicroTheater LA, the Spanish immersive theatrical phenomenon is finally coming to Los Angeles January 28-29!

For those of you unfamiliar with MicroTheater LA, in this creative experiment five different theater companies present 5 plays, 15 minutes each, 5 times a night, outside the conventional stage. Each intimate performance holds only 15 audience members to allow for a unique theater experience.

While all of the plays will center around the same theme, each director puts its own unique spin to the evening's theme to give the audience different perspective on similar situations.

The evening will also feature live music, wine, tapas and short plays repeating throughout the night, surrounded by the work of international and local artists.

Founded in Madrid in 2009 on the grounds of an abandoned brothel from where it quickly expanded to over a dozen of re-occurring theater experiences in Spain, Mexico, Argentina and Miami, MicroTheater is finally coming to Los Angeles by way of the Santa Monica Art Studios.
MicroTheater LA is being held on two nights at the Santa Monica Art Studios, located at 3026 Airport Ave, Santa Monica, CA 90405.

7pm Reception, plays start at 7:30pm, and repeat every 30 minutes.

Sun, Jan 29, 2017

  1. What an interesting concept. I've never heard of microtheater. Certainly no one can get bored if the show is only 15 minutes long.
