Here's a few tips to help you plan your #SDMuseumMonth visit:<br /><b><br /></b><b>#SDMuseumMonth Essential Travel Tips:</b></div><div><br /></div><div><b>Where to stay:</b></div><div><a href="https://hiltongardeninn3.hilton.com/en/hotels/california/hilton-garden-inn-san-diego-downtown-bayside-SANHVGI/index.html" target="_blank">Hilton Garden Inn, San Diego Downtown/Bayside</a></div><div>2137 Pacific Hwy Suite B, San Diego, CA 92101<br /><br /><b>Where to eat:</b><br />Breakfast:<br />The <a href="https://www.baysidekitchenandbar.com/" target="_blank">Bayside Kitchen and Bar</a> is conveniently located at the Hilton Garden Inn and offers a breakfast buffet - that includes fresh made waffles, pancakes or French Toast. While all are TO-DIE-FOR, order the French toast. Trust me!<br /><br />Lunch:<br />San Diego has great Tacos, but <a href="https://www.luchalibretacoshop.com/mission-hills-reservations/" target="_blank">Lucha Libre Taco Shop</a> is more than food. It's also a fun place to hang-out and munch on unexpected combos, like the surf and turf tacos!<br /><br />Happy Hour:<br />Balboa Park, the West Coast response to Grand Central Park, has several museums and eateries, but <a href="https://www.panama66.com/menu" target="_blank">Panama 66</a> is my favorite. While you can order most of your drink faves, you can also twist-it up a bit and get cider on tap, y'all!<br /><br />Dinner:<br />Drive, walk or trolly to <a href="http://www.oldtownsandiegoguide.com/restaurants.html" target="_blank">Old Town San Diego</a>, and sample hand-made tortillas before you make your dinner selection any one of the colorful Mexican and Cal-Mexican restaurants on the "strip." Order the "Frida Margarita" if you decide on <a href="https://www.cafecoyoteoldtown.com/">Cafe Coyote.</a><br /><br /><b>Get your pass:</b><br />Receive your Museum Month pass when you check-in at <a href="https://travel.hilton.com/en_us/hotels/?guide=san-diego" target="_blank">participating Hilton hotels</a><br /><br /><b>Plan your museum stops:</b><br />Visit the <a href="https://sandiegomuseumcouncil.org/museums/" target="_blank">San Diego Museum Council</a> website for the latest information about Museum Month and upcoming exhibitions. Some of my favorite San Diego museums include:<br /><br /><a href="https://www.mcasd.org/" target="_blank">Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego</a><br /><br /><a href="https://www.museumofman.org/exhibits/" target="_blank">Museum of Man</a><br /><br /><a href="https://mopa.org/" target="_blank">Museum of Photographic Arts</a><br /><br /><a href="https://www.sdmart.org/" target="_blank">San Diego Museum of Art</a><br /><br /></div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/slvPD</div>Ana Lydia Monacohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08638010792105466339noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2954839447798702496.post-42721027346597699572019-01-14T10:00:00.000-08:002019-01-14T10:00:06.002-08:00Photo L.A. 2019<div class="separator" style="clear: both; A select group of the 2019 Fellows will be chosen to continue on to the program’s second year, during which they will work directly with the Accelerator team to hone their skills, ensure accountability, and capitalize their proposed projects.<br /><br />While the educational components form the core of the Business Accelerator Program, this Fellowship also gives artists something that’s more intangible but just as crucial: a new outlook on their businesses and the confidence that they have both the right and the ability to break out of the boxes in which they’ve been penned.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><i>Artists are strongly encouraged to <a href="https://clarkhulingsfund.org/payment/prereg/" target="_blank">pre-register here</a>, </i></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i>to receive email updates on the application process and deadlines.</i></div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/slvPD</div>Ana Lydia Monacohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08638010792105466339noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2954839447798702496.post-58117567890038186032018-07-06T13:02:00.000-07:002018-07-06T13:15:06.241-07:00Meeting Brown<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-96V1sKtUnoE/Wz_JdzyLH2I/AAAAAAAALl8/R7-yqlGDqDgXFLmqavCuxa8O6DWG-mYfgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/Meeting%2BBrown_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-96V1sKtUnoE/Wz_JdzyLH2I/AAAAAAAALl8/R7-yqlGDqDgXFLmqavCuxa8O6DWG-mYfgCK4BGAYYCw/s640/Meeting%2BBrown_.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 12px;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 12px;">A Latinx woman is forced to choose between her culture or a future with the man she loves.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 12px;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 12px;">A Film by Ana Lydia Monaco</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 12px;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 12px;">Featuring:</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px;">Diana Gonzalez-Morrett</span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px;">Sean Dube</span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px;">Sonia Diaz</span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px;">Andrew J.
