Cirque du Soleil's Zarkana at the Aria Las Vegas

My hubby and I were invited by Cirque du Soleil to enjoy Zarkana.  The following is my true and honest review.

I have been a fan of Cirque du Soleil shows since the 90’s, when a friend took me for the first time.  Since then, I have seen more than ten different Cirque shows and have never once been disappointed.

My hubby, on the other hand, has never seen a Cirque show.

Boy was he in for a surprise!!

The trapeze act was absolutely amazing - we were at the edge of our seats the entire time!

We saw Zarkana, which is hosted at the Aria Resort & Casino, following a hugely successful engagement at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Arena Madrid and Moscow’s Kremlin State Palace Theatre.

Unlike other Cirque shows currently found in Las Vegas, this 90-minute spectacular is based on jaw-dropping acrobatics, stunning visual projections, and the mesmerizing music Cirque show’s are known for.  The Aria theater itself is absolutely beautiful and the perfect setting to enjoy a special evening out.

Zarkana’s plot is that of a purple-haired ringmaster, Zark, riffling through a motley crew of characters and spectacular acts to take an abandoned circus back to life.

Starting with a female juggler that creates visual magic and keeps audiences on the edge of their seat, hubby looked in amazing as the high-flying trapeze whizzed above us, and when sand (yes, sand!), created beautiful works of art in front of our eyes.

The amazing sand painter!

Zarkana was beautiful, magical, and full of love and passion from all of its characters, which we came to love…even the pot-bellied clown!

OMG - the Pot-bellied Clown was a HOOT!

At the end of the show, I realized that I made the right decision by not telling my hubby what a Cirque was and what to expect – because, I, for one, would have never been able to explain this magical experience.

He was in awe, smiled the entire time, and walked away a fan of Cirque and looking forward to seeing more Cirque shows in Vegas.

Watch out for the pickeled baby - SERIOUSLY.

I invite you to take advantage of the special promotions that are happening RIGHT NOW, in honor of Cirque du Soleil's 20th anniversary in Las Vegas when you buy your show tickets.

Do let me know if you go!  I would love to read/hear about your experience.

Cheers!

My hubby and I received complimentary tickets for this show.  No other compensation was provided. Photos are properly credited and not my own.
