The Smithsonian to Open Its First-Ever Latino Gallery

My Creative Storytelling Production Firm, Ana Lydia Productions, was recently contracted by the Smithsonian Latino Center to produce and direct a documentary honoring the memory of Dr. C. David Molina, whose memory was immortalized with a legacy gift to open the first Latino Gallery in the Smithsonian by his five children.
Opening in 2021 on the first floor of the National Museum of American History, the Molina Family Latino Gallery will be a permanent gallery for Latinx history and culture, and feature rotating exhibitions that will include first-person narratives, participatory experiences, and viewer-generated content. The gallery’s inaugural exhibition is tentatively titled Making Home: Latino Stories of Community and Belonging.
